 Greetings Texas Senators.

We just finished meeting with the Texas Jaycees who held their annual Five Outstanding Young Texans Awards in Austin. It was a great meeting and Texas Jaycee President Adam Vanek and Austin Jaycee President Jason Denny did a fantastic job.

The Senate meeting was also a big success with 30 Senators signed in for breakfast. The Hospitality room was always full and Hospitality Director Janice Harrison did an outstanding job providing food and drink all weekend. Everyone had a great time and new and old friendships were made and renewed. Peggy Rider, 58293, Past Region VIII VP, Sheri Menendez, 47839, Region VIII Senate Foundation Representative, both from Oklahoma and Kent Singular, 64562, Region VIII VP and his wife Jeanette from Kansas were in attendance at the FOYT Black Tie Awards Ceremony and the Senate hospitality room.

Next up for the Texas Senate is the USJCI BOD Meeting in Bloomington, Minnesota, September 24-26. Texas will begin promoting USJCI Fall BOD 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas. Texas means to show the rest of the United States what real hospitality is. Jumper Davis, 38376, and his committee are already making plans for one of the best USJCI BOD Meetings yet.

The next Texas Senate meeting will be held with the Texas Jaycees November 12-14, in Bryan-College Station, Texas. This will be the Jaycees Election meeting and the Senate Nomination meeting. Any and all are welcome and we hope to see friends from near and far at the November meeting.

That Earth’s Great Treasure Lies in Human Personality,

Jack Cornutt

Senator #50185

Texas JCI Senate President

2010-2011

The Jaycee Creed

We believe:

That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;

That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;

That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;

That government should be of laws rather than of men;

That earth s great treasure lies in human personality;

And that service to humanity is the best work of life.
